This week, Mr Martin briefed us about project 2: Animation Pitch Bible.

PRACTICAL

WEEK 12 / 15.11.2022
This week I coloured the background already. Here is the result.

WEEK 13 / 22.11.2022
This week, I tried to combine everything with the character, but I haven't yet coloured it. Just in case I need to redo it or revised it. After I drew on Procreate, I import it to Adobe Animate. Here is my progress.

Then I export it to Adobe After Effects and edit it for the camera movement.

WEEK 14 - 15 / 29.11.2022 - 08.12.2022
These weeks, I colour the character, revised some of the animations, put fog or smoke effects, looked for sounds (sound effects, ambient sound, and music), and combine everything.

I tried to change the title into some options:

1. Romantic Reverie
2. Dolce far niente: 
is a wonderful Italian expression meaning ‘sweet doing nothing’, sweet idleness, without getting bored, and it illustrates the dreamy, hedonistic, self-indulgent nature of indolence, and the enjoyment of it
3. Dolce fantasticheria: 
Dolce (I take it from piano) it means sweet
Fantasticheria = Reverie
4. Liebesträume:
(I take it from piano also), it's "love dream", or "dream of love" in German

and he chose number 2.

After receiving the feedback, here is my Final Result.

We need to see the animatics so that we can know how long and give the animation feedback

This is going to be a nice animation.

Scene 1: the knees are too high
Scene 2: the girl starts to lean after the camera movement stops.
Scene 3: complete it
Scene 4: can add the movement of the girl to stand.
Scene 5: the bookshelves colour are too orange

WEEK 15 / 06.12.2022
Good work and good grade. Now the only thing i dislike is the title. The words, should have a better title. Keywords: reverie, epiphany, to begin with.


REFLECTION

I am grateful to have been able to complete this film studies and cinematography project. This is the toughest class I've run so far. There are lots of workloads to do. But behind all that I learned many things, how to make animation in terms of the world of film and the world of animation. I am also grateful that Mr Martin has helped me by providing feedback to improve my work. Mr Martin also patiently replied to me even though I sent my progress results sometimes not during class hours. I am grateful to have been in this class.
